How we make research claims

Cogniq Labs publishes measured results, analytical estimates, literature syntheses, and system design notes. Every article identifies which kind it is.

Evidence labels

Measured: observations from a stated environment and procedure.
Analytical: a transparent calculation built from explicit assumptions.
Synthesis: conclusions assembled from cited primary or authoritative sources.
Design: an engineering proposal or operating pattern that still needs validation in context.

Quantitative claims

Numbers must state their basis, environment or assumptions, sample size when applicable, date sensitivity, and uncertainty. We do not describe an estimate as a benchmark or a third-party result as our own measurement.

Sources and reproducibility

Research notes link to their supporting material. A measured result should include enough procedural detail to reproduce it; where raw materials cannot be published, the limitation is stated.

Corrections and authorship

Substantive changes receive an updated date. Current work carries the institutional byline “Cogniq Labs Research”; named contributors will be identified when supplied. Corrections can be sent to team@cogniqlabs.com.
